So December is always a hectic month with finalizing client orders, last minute photo shoots & trying to get ready for my own family’s Christmas, but how could I turn down the opportunity to work with ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition! I was beyond thrilled when they called to ask me to be the family photographer for their December build in Lincolnton NC. I met the Friday family on Ambush day & worked in between filming to capture family images for their new home. It was an incredible day & so much fun to be around such a positive event. Never having been near the filming of a TV show it was very cool to see how it works behind the scenes. We wrapped up our work Sunday evening & it was a long night of processing the images due back the next day! Over the course of the week, I worked with the producers & designers to provide the images for the new home & get the frames ordered from The Organic Bloom. Friday was a rainy & cold day, but with the help of volunteers, we assembled the images in their frames- in the back of a dark cargo truck! I took my daughter & college friend visiting for the weekend to the night time Reveal on Saturday. Several hours in the cold was definitely worth it to capture the family’s expressions as the Extreme Makeover bus pulled away !! Wow! What a transformation over the course of one short week for a very deserving family!

This episode of Extreme Makeover Home Edition will air December 2012 during ABC’s Home for the Holidays. I cannot wait to share my images & behind the scenes shots at that time. Unfortunately, until then I can only post a few action images.

What fun I had this past Sunday! A last minute shoot with 6 dogs and their humans! The dogs had us out numbered, but they behaved like the gentlemen & ladies that they are! It was a beautiful afternoon & the “C” family’s new home is amazing. Here are a few of my favorite shots! Enjoy!

This Saturday February 5th, my dear sweet Nannie will celebrate her 90th Birthday! She is an amazing, caring lady with a wonderful sense of humor. I’m so blessed to have her in my life & to have lived in Charlotte for the past year and a half & get the opportunity to spend more time with her.

In honor of her birthday, I’m offering a one day deal on Saturday. My sitting fee will be 90% off- Yup, you read that correctly, 90% off. (So for those who are trying to do the math- that’s $17.50 for a full session with me!)

So how can you take advantage of this? It’s easy, here’s what you need to do!

Okay.. so when my awesomely cool new website was activated, my old blog went somewhere into the depths of the internet, never to be seen from again. I’ve been trying to locate & “reactivate” it, but with no luck… so I”ll be building a new blog here.. obviously I have a lot of work to do… so be patient & I’ll have it up & running soon!
